Direct Support Professional: Edgewater, MD 25hrs - Bay Community Support Services

**Job Summary:**

Bay-CSS is seeking a Direct Support Professional to join our residential team in Edgewater, MD. This position offers a competitive pay rate of $21/hr., with a $2/hr. weekend shift differential. The role involves providing direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities, enhancing their quality of life and promoting their independence.

**Qualifications:**
- Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred
- Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and car insurance required
- Ability to lift at least 50lbs and pass a background check
- Attend all required trainings.
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient approach to caregiving

**Responsibilities:**

- Assist residents with daily activities, personal care, medication administration, and household tasks
- Support residents in community outings, appointments, and social activities
- Implement individualized support plans and behavior intervention strategies
- Maintain accurate documentation and communicate any concerns regarding residents' well-being
- Collaborate with the team to ensure the safety of the residents

**Work Schedule:**

This position requires availability Monday to Friday from 4 pm to 9 pm, with the possibility of weekend shifts. The role involves a total of 25 hours per week, offering consistency in scheduling.
