Spearhead the organization's data monetization strategy, harnessing the power of data and analytics to drive business growth, insights, and innovation through traditional and non-traditional products and services. Unique role that is effective fostering a culture of data-first thinking and data literacy that resonates in both the IT and commercial business organizations. Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to find, retain, and grow talent directly on the team and across the Winfield United business.
30% - Lead Advanced Analytics and Insights Fusion Team
- Lead, inspire, and manage a multidisciplinary data, advanced analytics, and insights team with both business and technical roles (data scientists, data engineers, data visualization experts, and other business expert resources)
- Foster a collaborative, data driven, and high-performance team culture that is impactful in both technical and business meetings
- Partner with IT capability and Winfield United business leaders to identify skill gaps and collaborate on the plans for recruitment, training, and professional development of team members
60% - Drive development, capability, and execution of the data monetization strategy
- Formulate, support, and influence data monetization strategy with Winfield United's leadership
- Build relationships with Winfield United leadership to proactively ensure alignment and team prioritization with business success
- Manage team priorities, staffing, and status to ensure team success supporting business initiatives, ad hoc data driven decision making, and sandbox work to build team capability and generate new insights
- Function as Winfield United's primary advocate for the practice of advanced analytics and insights or practical AI across the enterprise
- Conduct targeted technology, data, and people experiments to evolve, innovate, or change the business model
- Promote the use of advanced analytics and data science techniques to uncover new insights and drive business innovation
- Collaborate with IT leaders to ensure Winfield's data infrastructure is robust, secure, and scalable to support current and future business needs
10% - Build Foundation of Data Discipline
- Oversee the establishment and maintenance of data governance, ensuring data quality, integrity, and privacy
- Ensure that Winfield's data practices comply with internal standards, relevant laws, and regulations
Required Experience/Knowledge/Skills
- 10+ years of leadership experience with a proven track record in leading and developing high-performing teams Experience should include managing cross-functional teams and driving organizational change is crucial
- Demonstrated ability developing and implementing data strategies that align with the organization's objectives including establishing strategic goals, OKR's, or KPI's
- 5+ years for experience in data driven decision making and monetization
- 5+ years of experience in the agriculture and/or food industry
- In-depth knowledge of agricultural techniques, soil science, water management, inputs (seed, CPP, and CN), and the use of modern farming equipment and technology
Required Skills:
- Obsession with how data can be used to drive business growth, operational efficiency, and innovation
- Ability to drive organizational change and embed data and analytics into the identity of the business
- Ability to ensure that data policies and practices comply with relevant laws and regulations and reflect the organization's values and ethics
- Ability to develop long-term strategies for agricultural operations, considering market trends, technological advancements, and environmental factors
- Effective written and verbal communication and influence skills with both technical and business leadership
Preferred Experience/Education:
- Advanced graduate degree in business and/or analytics
