Director of Payments
Position Overview:
The Director of Payments will lead our internal payments strategy and optimization initiatives, reporting to the Head of Finance Operations. This position is a hands-on leadership role that will span strategic thinking through tactical execution. This position is crucial for ensuring the efficiency, security, and scalability of Kaseya's payment systems, supporting the company's growth and operational objectives.
In this role youwill:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive payment strategy to optimize payment success rates and minimize payment-related issues.
- Oversee payment processing, fraud prevention, chargeback management, and payment reconciliation to ensure efficient and accurate payment transactions.
- Partner with the Accounts teams to optimize the order to cash process.
- Build out and continually optimize the AR / Collections Process, reducing DSO.
- Help inform product changes to improve the customer experience around billings, orders, and payments.
- Compile and analyze billing and order data to monitor performance and provide reports to management.
- Facilitate timely and accurate billings for all customers.
- Build out, maintain, and publish Kaseya Billing & Operations Policies and Procedures.
- Partner with Accounting as needed for reporting and reconciliation.
- Establish and monitor KPIs to measure the effectiveness and efficiency of payment processes.
- Lead initiatives to integrate advanced payment technologies and solutions, enhancing Kaseya's capabilities in handling complex transactions.
- Ensure compliance with relevant payment regulations and industry standards and implement robust security measures to protect customer data and financial transactions.
- Utilize data-driven insights and analytics to identify payment trends, areas of improvement, and opportunities to reduce churn by improving payment success rates.
Required Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in payments operations, preferably in a subscription-based business or the payments industry. Experience with multiple product and revenue streams, strongly preferred.
- 5+ years in a managerial or director-level role.
- Extensive experience in the Order to Cash cycle, including order management, billing, and collections.
- Strong knowledge of payment systems, processing technologies, and industry standards.
- Experience with financial software and ERP systems.
- Strong understanding of payment compliance and security requirements.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
