About the Job
The Director Clinic Operations is a leadership position. The Director of Clinic Operations develop and implement strategic operational plans. Identifies process improvement, manage risk and maintain compliance. Ensures stakeholder engagement and be an effective communicator.
The Director Clinic Operations supervises the clinic operations manager(s) and activities in the clinic to ensure successful delivery of patient care.
The Director Clinic Operations reports directly to the Vice President of Clinic Operations
Responsibilities:1. Manages hiring, training, and supervising assigned staff, helping them develop performance goals and objectives.
2. Manages daily operations at clinic sites, and coordinates the work activities and schedules.
3. Manages performance evaluations, & recommends merit increases, promotions, and disciplinary actions.
4. Assists in the creation and implementation of medical support and computer systems and procedures.
5. Ensures that office space, supplies, equipment, and assistance are provided and maintained appropriately for medical staff and patient care.
6. Monitors appointments, patient flow, medical records, medical transcription systems, and staff.
7. Supervises fee, credit, and collection procedures.
8. Identifies and resolves work problems to ensure quality patient service.
9. Works with leadership team to ensure compliance with regulations, and with clinic standards of quality patient care.
10. Works with leadership team in preparing budgets, and ensures satellite operations and relations are effective.
11. Other duties as assigned by supervisory and leadership staff.
Qualifications:1. Education:
a.) Associate degree in clinical, business or related field preferred.
2. Licensure/Certification:
a.) CPME preferred.
b.) Clinical license or certification (LPN, MA, Rad Tech., etc.) preferred.
3. Work Experience:
a.) Minimum of 3-5 years in out-patient clinic or leadership experience required.
b.) Demonstrated leadership abilities.
c.) Knowledge of computer systems, programs, and applications.
d.) Knowledge of fiscal management and effective human resources practices.
e.) Minimum of nursing or clinical license/certification. MBA/MHA or other
Master’s program will substitute for license/certification.
