Salary Range: $110,000.00 - $130,000.00
As a member of our Care Management team, the Director, Clinical Operations is responsible for leading our efforts related to compliance requirements, contract specifications, and overall performance metrics. This work is carried out in support of the mission and goals of Independence Care System.
Essential Functions
- Lead care management department efforts related to compliance requirements including audits, chart reviews, work-plans, and corrective action plans surrounding quality, and ICS’s Model of Care.
- Lead the development and oversight of existing P&Ps to ensure they remain current of ICS’s mission, practice and meet compliance metrics.
- Take the lead in establishing, monitoring and reporting on organizational performance metrics. Where improvements are needed, work with the department leads to establish and execute work-plans.
- Communicates with regulatory agencies and other external organizations
- Participate in ongoing meetings with ICS customers such as civics league, DOH and VNS.
- Collaborate with Compliance HH and CMO leads in developing and executing performance improvement and oversight plans.
- Using proven quality improvement methods such as Six Sigma and PDSA, identify opportunities to improve care and efficiency
- With input from program leads, develop and deliver trainings on compliance metrics.
- Take an active role in compliance and quality meetings.
- Other functions as required in response to the needs of members and the organization, even if those needs do not coincide with the details of this job description
Requirements
Minimum qualifications
1. Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or equivalent work experience
2. At least 5 years’ of experience leading/supporting regulatory activities including reading and interpreting regulatory requirements for healthcare organizations
3. Expertise developing work plans and organizing work to execute against timelines
4. Work experience requiring effective communication with internal and external stakeholders in a variety of formats, both written (i.e., Word documents, Excel spreadsheets, PowerPoint presentations) and oral (i.e., conference calls, face-to-face meetings and presentations)
5. Previous experience training and developing staff
Preferred qualifications:
1. Experience in working with people with physical disabilities
2. Master’s degree in business, healthcare, or other related field
