Director, Clinical Research - Deborah Heart and Lung Center

Position Summary:       Reporting to the Vice President, Cardiology Services and working in a dyad relationship with the Medical Director(s) for Clinical Research, develops, implements, and directs all research activities to remain consistent with the organization�s Mission, comply with regulatory standards, and achieve desired goals.  Will spend approximately 50% of time actively engaged in research protocol(s).         

Experience

Required: Minimum of three (3) years Clinical Research management experience in an active, hospital-based Clinical Research Program.  Minimum of five (5) years as an active participant in clinical research protocols. Demonstrated experience with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) Guidelines

Education

Required: Bachelor of Science degree in a related field

Preferred: Master�s Degree preferred

License and Credentials  

Required: Clinical license / credential, e.g., RN, PA, Pharmacist

Preferred: CITI certification, or equivalent

Skills

Required: Excellent written and verbal communication skills; proficient with Microsoft Office Suite including WORD, EXCEL, and POWER POINT; well organized, detail oriented, multi-tasking; strong interest in clinical research; Must become proficient with Hospital-based research/grant software.
