Summary:
Directs the department's activities and resources to ensure alignment with the mission, values, and objectives of the department and organization.
Responsibilities:
Manages and evaluates department operations including information technologies, service level determination, and complaint management, to achieve performance and quality control objectives.Plans and monitors staffing activities including hiring, orienting, evaluating, performing disciplinary actions, and providing continuing education initiatives.Develops and implements departmental goals, plans, and standards consistent with the clinical, administrative, legal, and ethical requirements/objectives of the organization.Oversees development and revision of metrics for Medical Staff and hospital performance.Works with executive and facility leadership to oversee and ensure quality initiatives and that performance aligns with organizational goals.

Complexity of Work: Requires critical thinking skills, effective communication skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Ability to assess, analyze and interpret various quality databases. Experience with Tableau, Premier, Crimson, NPIC, NSQIP databases preferred. Required Work Experience: Five (5) years of leadership experience. Other Information: Additional Education Info: Bachelor's degree in a job related field.
