Director, Corporate Strategy-
REMOTE
We are looking for a growth-oriented, innovative, passionate professional to join the Corporate Strategy function at Iron Mountain (NYSE: IRM) as a Director, Corporate Strategy reporting to the Senior Director and Global Head of Corporate Strategy. This role will be critical to the future growth of Iron Mountain. This individual will engage Senior Leaders across Iron Mountain business units and functions, identifying and framing strategic issues, performing fact-based analyses and creating recommendations to deliver measurable business impact. Impact will be defined by our ability to accelerate growth and/or our ability to effectively address underperforming parts of the business.
The Director will also work closely with his/her peers in Corporate Development and the program management office (PMO) to ensure that M&A activities, partnerships and large cross-functional programs are tightly aligned to the overarching strategic priorities of Iron Mountain.
Success in this role will require a highly collaborative and accountable individual that is energized by tackling complex challenges with intellectual curiosity, creativity, commitment and the fortitude to do things differently when required. The Director of Corporate Strategy will possess sharp business acumen and will have a strong bias towards action.They must demonstrate sound, strategic logic and must be adept at leveraging the tools and frameworks to develop robust fact-based analysis of any situation or scenario. Strong quantitative and analytical problem-solving skills will be critical. And lastly, this individual must be a great communicator, a savvy relationship builder, a critical thinker and passionate leader.
Roles and Responsibilities
+ Works closely with Senior Leaders (EVP’s and their respective LT’s) around the business to assess, prioritize, frame and execute/answer their most critical strategic questions and impactful strategy projects.
+ Assists with the annual business planning process and with creating and managing the process to operationalize the annual plan (MBRs, QBRs, etc).
+ Supports the Finance function with the multi-year planning process.
+ Helps leaders develop and execute remediation plans when BUs are underperforming.
+ Supports the corporate development team and business unit leaders to solidify acquisition strategies, identify and prioritize attractive targets and lean-in to various aspects of diligence and deal execution as required.
+ Works with third-party partners to frame, negotiate and finalize Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs), Joint Development Agreements (JDAs) and Joint Venture Agreements (JVs).
+ Teams with the Sr. Dir and SVP to support the development of a long-term prioritization and investment framework that provides the business rationale for incubating and eventually scaling new businesses.
+ Actively collects, assesses and disseminates market and competitor intelligence to the broader business to provide an ‘outside-in’ perspective that’s crucial to sound decision making.
The Ideal Candidate
+ 7-10 years post undergraduate experience in management consulting, finance, and/or as an analyst.
+ Experience working in a well-respected technology firm and a strong understanding of enterprise technology trends is preferred
+ A bachelor's degree is required; BS in a STEM discipline preferred.
+ MBA or Master’s Degree preferred.
+ Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills.
+ Excellent communication skills - written and verbal.
+ Experience driving large-scale, cross-functional initiatives successfully
+ Sharp business acumen.
+ Comfortable working with and consulting to the C-Suite.
+ Strong leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to hire and develop great talent.
+ Ability to function effectively and drive a constructive outcome especially when constrained with partial information, an unclear mandate and a poorly defined set of issues or questions to address.
+ Results oriented.
+ Demonstrated success operating in matrixed and complex business environments as defined by multiple lines of business, multiple products, multiple customer segments, multiple regions and geographies, etc.
Reasonably expected salary range: $154,700.00 - $206,300.00
