This will give Altera the autonomy and flexibility it needs to fully accelerate its growth and more effectively compete in the FPGA industry, which serves a broad array of markets, including the data center, communications, industrial, automotive, aerospace and defense sectorsAbout the Role: Altera is looking for a Chip Lead on our next generation, flagship FPGA product
This is a highly complex SOC with leading edge IP and a market leading programmable fabric
The chip lead is someone who oversees the chip development from implementation to production
We are looking for a strong technical leader who has deep experience developing and managing complex chip development projects
The Chip Lead responsibilities include:Manage the chip development from implementation start to production, and ensure the chip meets all specificationsWork with design, DV, physical design, and integration teams to move development forward while resolving technical issues and ensuring highest quality.Collaborate and demonstrate leadership with a large cross functional team including architecture, software, and silicon validation group
Work also involves collaborating third party IP developers.Develop and monitor project plans to remove any roadblocks that push schedule.Qualifications:Minimum Qualifications:BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field with 12+ years of design/validation experience5+ years of experience leading a large SOC project at leading edge5+ years of project management experiencePreferred Qualifications:Senior management experience in FPGA product developmentExperience collaborating with software development teamsRequirements listed would be obtained through a combination of industry relevant job experience, internship experiences and or schoolwork/classes/researchJob Type:Experienced HireShift:Shift 1 (United States of America)Primary Location: US, California, San JoseAdditional Locations:Business group:The Programmable Solutions Group (PSG) was formed from the acquisition of Altera
