Daikin Applied is in search of a talented Sr. Director Product Security to join our dynamic team. The PISO plays a crucial role in assuring the security posture of an organization, its platforms, assets and its revenue generating offerings, ensuring business continuity, integrity competitiveness, and success. Build and lead cybersecurity operations team that will co-develop software and engineering solutions for the enterprise and Daikin customers. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the cybersecurity landscape, with a proven track record in securing infrastructure. This role is pivotal in safeguarding our organization's critical assets, data, and operations against evolving cyber threats.
Location: Plymouth, MN
What you will do:
* Lead software development and engineering programs to strengthen product security, privacy and regulatory aspects of custom-build software solutions that would be deployed at scale for enterprise and customers
* Develop DevSecOps capabilities and digital solutions to drive speed to market of the digital products
* Build, lead and mentor a team of cybersecurity professionals, including, but not limited to, incident response, threat intelligence, vulnerability management, and security operations personnel
* Establish and maintain the cybersecurity strategy, roadmap, and budget for the organization working with other cyber security leadership team members
* Design, implement and maintain the backbone Security Operations Platform that will secure organizational and product infrastructure via monitoring activity, detecting threats and vulnerabilities while enabling efficient response to incidents and threats.
* Participate in vendor selection of tools which will be leveraged in the Security Operations Platform
* Efficient integration and automation of security tools into the Security Operations Platform
* Integrate threat intelligence into security operations to proactively address emerging risks
* Deliver additional critical operational functions which may include, but are not limited to, vulnerability management (VM), incident response and coordination (IR), security orchestration, automation, and response (SOAR), Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Support (DR/BC)
* Stay abreast of the latest security trends, technologies, and threats, and evaluate and implement new security solutions and tools.
* Develop and maintain key metrics to measure the effectiveness of security operations

Minimum Qualifications:
* 4 Year / Bachelor's Degree
* Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field
* Master's Degree
* 10 years of experience with progressive responsibilities
* 10 years of experience with progressive responsibilities. Ideally starting in development and up through leadership
* Technical Skills: Understanding of cybersecurity frameworks and methodologies. Practical experience in information technology and infrastructure. Proficiency in platform and product security, product delivery and maintenance, cloud computing, security principles, and emerging technologies.
* Technical Skills: Software development expertise leveraging cloud, full stack development and DevSecOps
* Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and managerial abilities, with experience in leading and developing a cybersecurity team and organization. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to influence and negotiate with stakeholders at all levels.
