Position Summary:The Director, Electrical Engineering will provide technical support for all existing building electrical systems, perform engineering analysis and provide system improvement recommendations
The role serves as a leader for electrical-related building and construction projects.Job Duties:Manage electrical systems vendor relationships and verify compliance with contract requirements.Verify all electrical systems meet code requirements (e.g., local building code and NFPA).Implement and manage electrical infrared inspection system.Inspect on-site electrical equipment to verify safe and reliable operation.Lead incident investigations after equipment failure or hazard identification (e.g
electrical switchgear, wiring).Ensure equipment and components meet safety and code requirements.Lead development of ICAC specific NFPA 70E electrical safety training program.Conducts regular site walks with on-site maintenance teams to audit electrical systems and discuss safety and reliability concerns.Works closely with safety team to review and resolve electrical safety hazards.Resolves and optimize electrical processes.Creates cost projections and forecasts.Ensures Testing electrical components and systems during delivery of new assets.Oversees all electrical projects, ensuring proper installation, and inspecting completed work.Plans and conducts complex electrical engineering research.Minimum Qualifications / Other Expectations:Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, electrical engineering or closely related field preferred.8+ years experience.Other: Travel to conferences/seminars to maintain CEU and new technology trends.Professional Engineer (P.E.) preferred.Valid California driver’s license; Maintain continuous vehicle liability insurance as required by state law.This role requires the regular and frequent operation of a vehicle, as defined in the Company's MVR policy, and is part of the essential duties of this position.
