Position Overview: The strategic product leader for electrical safety products has a critical role in product development, business growth and marketing role for the overall electric safety products & utility transmission and distribution business. They will be responsible for the overall product strategy which include managing the product portfolio, building product strategy, developing long term product roadmaps, supporting sales, distributors to grow the business. Collaborate with leadership, product (from other divisions), marketing, sales, operations, others to support the business as needed.

They will be responsible for the overall product strategy which include managing the product portfolio, building product strategy, developing long term product roadmaps, supporting sales, distributors to grow the business. Collaborate with leadership, product (from other divisions), marketing, sales, operations, others to support the business as needed.
Essential Job Functions:
- Analyze and understand market dynamics and trends to effectively build product strategies and NPI to grow the overall business.
- Work collaboratively with leadership, sales, operations, marketing and other key stakeholders to build product programs and promotions for distributors, key accounts.
- Product Roadmap Strategy – Develop and execute a 3–year product roadmap based on market trends/needs. Work with Director, Innovation on market trends, competitive activities to align with long term innovative roadmap.
- Portfolio Lifecycle Management – Annual review of portfolio for enhancements, continuous product portfolio management, SKU rationalization, gap fill opportunities, PIPO and other operational portfolio enhancements.
- New Product Development/Launch – Lead cross functional team to develop new product based on 3-year product roadmap. Build and execute an integrated marketing plan which includes pre, during, and post launch activities. Work with sales and operations on executing all internal and customers activities to support product launch.
- Annual Product Review Process - Lead annual product review process with key stakeholders/leadership.
- Strategic Marketing – Collaborates with marketing to set the direction for overall strategy of all customer events, store merchandising/display, and graphic design for select projects following brand standards.
- Stage & Gate – Works with EPL to help drive new product development leveraging Stage/Gate process – collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Market Research - Lead all key product and market research as it pertains to the brand and market segment.
- Sales/Customer - Primary contact for key sales/customer interaction to drive the overall business.

Qualifications:
- Education & Certifications: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or related field preferred
- Experience: 7 – 12 years’ experience in business, product, product development and/or marketing in B2B or B2C businesses

- Technical acumen/experience in the electrical safety or utility product industry
- Proven track record to lead cross functional teams on complex product and marketing projects
