We are looking for dynamic individuals who are passionate about taking tech to the next level.We’re looking for a Director who can lead and manage the day to day activities of the team. You will be involved in and help set the direction for strategic improvements to the systems and platform decisions for infrastructure services used across the company, which includes cloud computing, network design, telephony, system maintenance, support and planning, and everything in between
Not only are you a strong leader with great communications skills, but you’re not afraid to roll your sleeves up and jump in and help troubleshoot problems
We’ve also adopted a DevOps approach, building out our cloud infrastructure as code, so automation should be part of your DNA.Invitation Homes does not offer employment-based visa sponsorship for this role at this time.Essential Job Duties and ResponsibilitiesLead a team of engineers to ensure the smooth and continuous operation of the infrastructure that powers our businessResponsible for growing and inspiring this team through a combination of coaching, mentoring, feedback, and hands-on career developmentLead the 24x7 operations while balancing the team’s work life balanceOrganize, run, and have accountability for infrastructure projectsOversee the network and infrastructure for all officesManage operational support for infrastructureCollaborate with andwork across the entire technology team to support both ongoing operations and new initiatives Believe in the DevOps mindset of self-service teams and able to work across both the infrastructure and engineering teams to accomplish itDiagnose and resolve complex hardware, software and connectivity problemsWorks with the Office of the CIO and Technology leadership to develop short and long-term plans and budgets for the infrastructure teamWork closely with the Security team to ensure our systems and networks are hardened and protectedEnsure the appropriate governance and controls are in place and appropriate for the risk profile of our companyNegotiate with and maintain relationships with key vendorsPerform other duties as assignedEducation and/or ExperienceBachelor’s Degree in Computer Sciences or equivalent experienceMinimum 8-10 years relevant experience managing infrastructure and automation professionalsSkills/Specialized KnowledgeDeep knowledge of infrastructure and operational solutionsDeep knowledge of AWS and other cloud platformsKnowledge of writing infrastructure as code (Terraform a plus)Deep knowledge of network technologies and design (Fortinet a plus)Deep knowledge of Office 365 as well as hybrid ADDemonstrated expertise and experience in networking design, hardware support and operating systems.Knowledge of telecom services delivery technologiesExperience building a DevOps cultureExperience with business continuity planning, auditing and risk management, as well as contract and vendor negotiationKnowledge of information security technologies and best practicesKnowledge of applicable practices and laws relating to data protection (CCPA, etc)Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple prioritiesExcellent customer service and interpersonal skillsAbility to relate to others at all levels of the organization, including the C-suiteProven project management skillsAbility to meet tight timelinesAbility to solve problems, overcome obstacles and make recommendationsAbility to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a dynamic environmentWork well both as an individual and as part of a teamCapable of setting priorities bases on business impactAbility to read, write, understand and communicate in EnglishProficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPointRequired Licenses or CertificationsNone requiredOther RequirementsMust maintain professional appearance.
