IDG is searching for a Finance Business Partner for the IDC Supplier and IDC Buyer Research organizations at IDG. This role will play a pivotal role in aligning financial strategies with the unique dynamics of a subscription business model. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams and global business leads, you will provide financial insights, analysis, modelling, and guidance that contribute to strategic decision-making and growth and innovation within the organization. Your insights and financial acumen will be crucial in driving the success of the organization's subscription-based business model.

This role is based on our Needham MA location with a hybrid work schedule to come into the office 1-2 days per week. (We will also consider qualified candidates 100% remote in an approved US East Coast location).

Responsibilities:- Analyze and interpret financial data related to subscription metrics, such as Monthly Recurring Revenue (MRR), Annual Contract Value (ACV), Customer Lifetime Value (CLTV), and churn rates.
- Provide actionable insights into trends and evaluate risks and opportunities using internal and external benchmarking data.
- Develop accurate forecasts and budgets, providing global business leads with detailed financial reporting and spend tracking detail.
- Provide detailed financial analysis on monthly and quarterly financial performance across all regions within the Research organization.
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, and customer success teams to incorporate growth projections, customer acquisition costs, and retention strategies into financial plans.
- Partner with Research business product managers to assess the financial viability of new features, products, and pricing models.
- Provide financial guidance for transformation activities and strategic initiatives across the global Research organization.
- Establish and monitor Research business specific KPIs, such as Monthly Churn Rate, Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC), and Customer Expansion Rate.
- Monitor key subscription metrics to evaluate growth potential and customer satisfaction.
- Develop financial models to simulate various growth scenarios, pricing strategies, and customer acquisition scenarios for the business.
- Conduct scenario analysis to support decision-making and strategic planning.
- Assess financial risks inherent to the Research industry, such as contract cancellations and technology shifts, and develop strategies to mitigate these risks.
- Support Business
- Ensure compliance with industry-specific regulations and standards.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's/MBA preferred).
- Professional certifications such as CFA, CPA, or CMA could be advantageous.
- 12+years proven experience in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and business partnering, preferably within the SaaS industry.
- Familiarity with SaaS metrics and subscription-based revenue models.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret Research specific financial and operational data.
- Excellent communication skills to explain complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
- Proficiency in financial modeling, data analysis tools, and subscription based related software platforms.
- Strategic thinking and the ability to align financial strategies with business objectives.
- Collaborative approach and the ability to build relationships across various teams.
- Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy, compliance, and ethical financial practices.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced enviroment.

Salary range and additional compensation, including discretionary bonuses and incentive pay, are determined by a rigorous review process. This process considers the experience, education, certifications, and skills required for the specific role, equity with similarly situated employees, as well as employer-verified US region-specific market data provided by an independent 3rd party partner. The anticipated total annual compensation, depending on location and experience, is between $175,000 and $210,000 and is inclusive of base salary and variable compensation (if applicable).
