We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director for our Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team. This role will be pivotal in driving the financial planning, forecasting, and reporting processes for the organization. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of financial analysis, variance, monthly reporting, and insurance statutory accounting. The ideal candidate will have a CPA or CFA, with a minimum of five years of experience in a similar role. Working knowledge of NetSuite and FP&A tools are important in this role. Responsibilities:
As a Director - FP&A, you will be responsible for:
1. Leading the financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes across the organization.
2. Providing accurate and timely monthly financial reports and statements.
3. Conducting detailed financial analysis to provide insights into the organization's performance.
4. Monitoring and analyzing monthly operating results against budget.
5. Overseeing variance analysis and providing strategic recommendations.
6. Collaborating with senior management on strategic financial planning and decision-making.
7. Ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
8. Implementing and maintaining financial controls and procedures.
9. Utilizing NetSuite for reporting and MS Excel for analysis purposes.
10. Keeping up-to-date with changes in financial regulations and legislation, particularly insurance statutory accounting.
Qualifications:
To be considered for the Permanent Director - FP&A role, you should have:
1. A CPA or CFA qualification.
2. A minimum of five years' experience in financial planning and analysis, preferably in a leadership role.
3. Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis.
4. Excellent knowledge of financial forecasting and diagnosis, corporate finance, and information analysis.
5. Proficiency in NetSuite or similar financial software.
6. A solid understanding of insurance statutory accounting.
7. Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and engage direct and indirect reports and peers.
8. Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
9. The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
10. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make well-judged decisions.
