The Opportunity The Director, Global Forecast Lead will serve as a strategic business partner across Commercial, Portfolio Strategy, BD, Program Teams, and Research & Development, partnering at all levels of the business. This individual will develop a robust and aligned understanding of market landscapes utilizing market research insights, data analytics, and competitive intelligence to inform Program forecasts that support strategic decision making and long-term planning. This person will play a pivotal role in leveraging data and analytics to drive strategic decision-making and enhance our competitive position in our markets. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to provide actionable insights, identify market trends, and develop data-driven strategies that align with our business objectives. What You Will Contribute
- Leverage and synthesize information from multiple sources, including, but not limited to, qualitative and quantitative primary market research, third party data analysis, secondary research, and competitive intelligence to build comprehensive market landscape assessments
- Utilize your deep understanding of global markets to build long-range forecasts for different indications of interest to support long-term planning including portfolio prioritization, early go-to-market strategies, lifecycle management, and scenario planning
- Own the company’s global revenue forecast and assumptions, in partnership with the Financial Planning & Analysis team
- Develop and present clear and compelling reports and visualizations that communicate key insights and support data-driven decision-making; share actionable insights for early go-to-market strategies with senior leadership and other stakeholders
- Collaborate with business units to develop and refine strategic plans based on data-driven insights, ensuring alignment with overall business goals and objectives
- Work with Commercial Teams to integrate insights and forecasts of in-market products into global market understanding and long-range forecasts and communicate those for Finance, Supply Chain, and other stakeholders as warranted
- Analyze complex data sets, including market trends, sales performance, and customer behavior, to derive actionable insights that inform strategic decisions throughout product lifecycles
- Build close working relationships with leaders of Finance, Portfolio Strategy, BD, Program Teams, Supply Chain, and other stakeholders
- Maintain a sound understanding of competitor insights and associated forecasting impacts, working closely with CI function
- Reconcile dissenting views, negotiate with, and persuade others on sensitive and/or complex situations to drive aligned market landscape and opportunity assessments
- Utilize advanced analytics tools and technologies including AI to enhance data analysis capabilities and streamline processes
- 10-15 years of relevant experience, with at least 6 years in a management or leadership role
- Bachelor's degree within a relevant course of study
- MBA, PhD, or other advanced degree in a relevant field (e.g., Medicine, Sciences, etc.) strongly preferred
- Proficiency in extracting and interpreting insights from large longitudinal data sources, such as Claims, EMR and other patient level data sets
- Ability to summarize and present findings through various communication channels and be able to “tell the story” to stakeholders at all levels of the organization
- Experience building an insights and analytics strategy
- Exceptional with MS Office products - Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Advanced modeling and BI skills using SQL+ R, Python, and Tableau are desirable
- The base salary range for this role is $220,000 - $243,000. The final compensation will be commensurate with such factors as relevant experience, skillset, internal equity and market factors.
