Head of Portfolio Solutions Product Management
We’re seeking for a future team member for the role of Head of Portfolio Solutions Product Management for BNY Pershing’s Product Management and Platforms. This role can be in Jersey City, Pittsburgh or Lake Mary, - HYBRID.
The Managed Accounts, Head of Portfolio Solutions Product Management role is responsible for leading product development and market expansion strategy for BNY Pershing Portfolio Solutions, broadening utilization for Managed Accounts, BNY Advisors, and BNY Investment Management at BNY Pershing. This role will focus on go-to market planning, inclusive of new product and services launch to achieve sales goals, increase commercial sales volume, and ensure profitability at scale, while building a digital advisor experience that will deliver complex financial solutions for the managed accounts platform, programs, and technology.
This leader will have significant impact on the overall strategy of the firm’s strategic positioning from an investment product and solutioning perspective.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
Lead strategic direction and management of Portfolio Solutions Product (Managed Accounts, BNY Advisors Services and BNY Investments) across Pershing, and later external to BNY Pershing.
Apply deep subject matter expertise to help shape the future of client offerings to drive investment product distribution and expansion of cross-enterprise packaged solution monetization.
Establish the roadmap to building a digital advisor experience that will deliver complex financial solutions for the managed accounts platform, programs, and technology.
Work closely with sales and relationship management teams to develop a deep understanding of client businesses, set up for optimal platform utilization and ongoing engagement helping clients maximize the value they get from BNY and BNY Pershing.
Enable the firm to reach its goals related to advisory program adoption, asset growth, risk management and profitability.
Partner and represent BNY Investments and its pivotal stakeholder role in Managed Accounts expansion across BNY Pershing (product management, sales execution strategy, education, and marketing).
Oversee the Managed Account advisory programs and product managers with over $200B in platform assets.
Drive education and knowledge share for Portfolio Solutions product and grow awareness for how Portfolio Solutions raises client and enterprise value.
Engage with both internal and external product consulting teams and market researchers to ensure the firm as a competitive offering in the marketplace.
Create and manage relationships, communications and access with asset managers and technology partners.
Your experience should include:
12 + years industry experience with specific background in the below:
Investment products and advisory solutions experience is a must
Experience driving adoption and scale of core managed account solutions
General Custody Operations & Platform Knowledge – foundational or more (5 plus years)
Leadership and specifically, team management (10 plus years)
Experience working with introducing broker dealers, RIA’s and trust companies. Must have knowledge of differences between the segments
Be-Client Obsessed: Demonstrated ability to build and maintain long-term relationships with clients. Show how you can meet and exceed clients’ needs by providing timely, effective, and empathetic support
Show how you can find solutions that align with the client's goals and objectives
Extensive knowledge of the asset management industry and experience working with asset managers

BNY assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $125,000 and $273,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNY total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs.
This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
