PRESIDENT - SEATTLE
The President serves as the chief executive, secretary and sits on the McGee board of directors. Primary executive responsible for running $110 million (USD) business with 2,000 team members performing ground handling operations for over 150,000 flights annually. As chief executive of a key business partner and wholly-owned subsidiary of Alaska Airlines, motivate your own team and work with Alaska Airlines leadership to meet strategic and cost expectations for McGee. Represent McGee at board of directors' meetings, presenting financial and operational results. Directly manage the organization's relationships with financial institutions, insurers, suppliers and union leadership. Sets company strategy, growth objectives and financial plan. Responsible for instilling a servant culture within the organization centered around the company's core values. Maintain close-working business relationships with airline customers, labor leaders and suppliers. The President has overall responsibility for the safe, efficient, reliable and compliant operation at McGee.
QUALIFICATIONS
REQUIRED
- Bachelor's degree
- Ten (10) years of hands-on leadership experience, including experience leading large groups of team members, and multiple functions simultaneously in a fast-paced, service-focused environment
- Five (5) years of airline industry experience with proven skills in station operations, including one of the following areas: passenger service, cargo handling, fleet service, or ground operations
- Demonstrated business acumen
- Ability to listen, decipher, frame solutions, and drive execution
- Provide direction and forward momentum in times of ambiguity
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to provide clarity, organization and direction along with confident decision-making and open, honest and continuous communications with the workforce
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills required
- Strong leadership ability with a genuine desire to help others
- Able effectively communicate to a broad audience encompassing all levels of the organization
- Ability to work with and maintain confidential information
- Ability to obtain and maintain airport security clearance, customs seal, and/or USPS security clearance including background criminal history check, drug screen and fingerprinting
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
