Reporting to the Senior Vice President, Inventory Control, the Director, Inventory Claim Management will be responsible for leading a corporate initiative to design and deploy a risk management framework across the GXO Supply Chain footprint focused on financial claims management, operational and systemic inefficiencies, customer churn and cash flow management. Develop financial and analytical models to pinpoint financial risk drivers and make recommendations to improve the risk environment.

What you'll do on a typical day:
- Negotiate directly with senior customer financial and legal teams to mitigate financial claims and disputes brought due to operational and systemic deficiencies
- Coordinate with the internal finance organization to assure supportable and quantifiable liabilities exist to for all claims with actual risk
- Design analytical models to formulate and support settlement recommendations.
- Develop a communication tool to ensure all impacted teams are continually updated on claim status and financial risk
- Design and manage audit programs to evaluate risk due to loss or mismanagement of inventory
- Develop analytical models to identify operational inefficiencies driving risk
- Design labor allocation and optimization models to identify resource inefficiencies driving risk
- Develop proactive tools to pinpoint processes driving inventory mismanagement or loss risk
- Identify systemic challenges driving transactional or reconciliation issues with current customers.
- Establish and deliver overall site evaluation models, based on risk, to prioritize troubled sites
- Actively engage and participate in working groups among key stakeholders to advise on mitigation initiatives to reduce risk and improve operational efficiency.
- Coordinate and assist with the integration of new acquisitions and contracts ensuring all risk elements are identified
- Participate in shut down activities to properly transition assets and mitigate post close issues
What you need to succeed at GXO:
At a minimum, you'll need:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting
- Master's Degree or CPA
- 10 years of experience in a Senior Management/Analysis role with a consistent record of delivering superior results
- Demonstrated leadership skills that reflect experiences building a foundation for innovative change and establishing next generation claims servicing platforms, teams, and processes
- Strong influencing, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills
- Understanding of the market needs that influence the delivery of excellent customer service; ability to modify risk management and claims resolution policies to support customer values and increase operational efficiency
- Demonstrated metric-driven focus combined with strong strategy development and execution skills
- High degree of business and financial acumen, including budget management
