What You'll Be Doing
- Labor & Employment: Act as the main point of contact for all labor and employment related matters for all company entities across the globe, including: Provide advice and counseling to the People Department on a wide range of employment issues, including hiring, termination, leave management, benefits, employment handbooks, policies and procedures.
- Draft and review templates for employment-related agreements and documents, such as employment contracts and offer letters, severance agreements, non-compete agreements, and transfer letters.
- Monitor and report on the latest legal trends and other regulatory developments and assist in providing updates to relevant policies or processes.
- Support the People Department on all workplace investigations and audits to ensure compliance with applicable employment laws.
- Support the People Department on all training programs on various employment law topics.
- Risk and Insurance: Act as the main point of contact for all risk related matters, including: Manage the company’s overall risk program.
- Manage the company’s insurance portfolio, including the renewal of policies.
- Intellectual Property: Manage the company’s global trademark portfolio, including trademark clearance, prosecution, enforcement, and licenses.
- Immigration: Support the People Department on all immigration-related matters.
- Litigation: Act as the main point of contact for all litigation related matters by managing the company’s litigation portfolio, including in relation to employment claims, tort claims, and contract disputes.
- Vendor Agreements: Draft, negotiate, and advise on a wide variety of vendor agreements, including agreements related to SaaS platforms, consultants, partnerships, leases, marketing, and workplace matters.
- Special Projects: Provide support as necessary with respect to initiatives related to privacy/cybersecurity, document retention, compliance, and other special projects as assigned by the Chief Legal Officer.
- JD degree, and a minimum of 10+ years experience practicing transactional or corporate law.
- Demonstrated ability to build consensus with business clients in a calm and professional demeanor.
- Experience managing time-sensitive and complex legal matters.
- Strong project management skills, including adhering to stakeholder timelines.
- High attention to detail.
- Proven written and oral communicator, with strategic, analytical, and interpersonal skills to act as an effective change agent.
- Organized self-starter with demonstrated experience in adapting and executing in a fast-paced environment.
