Job Details
Types of responsibilities:
- Maintenance of accounting records, systems and documentation in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Corporate policies and procedures.
- Preparation of journal entries, financial statements, and analysis and reconciliation of financial data to provide reports to meet corporate, external, and internal management requirements.
- Development, implementation and maintenance of accounting policies and procedures and internal controls as necessary to ensure compliance with GAAP laws, policies and protection of company assets.
- Coordination of financial and operational audit activities by outside and internal audit representatives.
- Provide oversight and assure compliance for decentralized accounting locations with various nonintegrated accounting systems.
- Maintenance of various financial/accounting systems to assure reliable and accurate financial data and reporting.
- Coordination of training and development activities of accounting personnel to assure adequate technical skills are maintained and appropriate supervisory and management skills are developed.
- Perform required personnel functions and/or guide subordinate supervision including performance appraisals, recommending salary adjustments, interviewing applicants, disciplinary actions, counseling, etc.
- Perform budgeting activities of the departments for which responsible, and work within the budget to accomplish goals and objectives.
- Collaborate with finance groups for coordination of accounting decisions with potential impact on financial plans and forecasts.
EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
- Master’s degree in Accounting or MBA preferred
- CPA preferred
- 10+ years experience in Accounting or Finance required, including a minimum 5 years leadership experience
