We are currently seeking an experienced and proactive Director of Accounts Receivable to oversee our financial operations and lead our team of Business Office Managers across multiple facilities.
Job Summary:
As the Director of AR, you will be responsible for the overall management of the accounts receivable functions across all facilities. This includes overseeing collections, managing billing processes, and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. You will lead a team of Business Office Managers, guiding them in effective management practices and ensuring that financial goals are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and streamline AR and collections processes across multiple facilities to ensure timely and accurate billing.
- Manage and provide leadership to a team of Business Office Managers, ensuring optimal performance, training, and development.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures that ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Monitor and analyze monthly AR reports to assess performance and implement improvements.
- Collaborate with other department heads to ensure cross-departmental alignment with financial processes.
- Drive the resolution of complex billing issues, ensuring customer satisfaction and maintaining relationships with payers.
- Prepare financial forecasts and budgets, and present reports to senior management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years’ experience in AR management, preferably in the healthcare industry, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Proven experience in managing and leading teams in a multi-facility environment.
- Strong understanding of the healthcare revenue cycle, with specific knowledge in long-term care billing and collections.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in financial software and MS Office, especially Excel.
