About the Job
Reporting to the Chief Information Officer, the Director of Administrative Enterprise Applications provides leadership for the Administrative Enterprise Applications Department, a department within the Division of Information Technology. This position is responsible for all technical aspects of the Enterprise Resource Planning/Student Information System (ERP/SIS) system, document storage and retention system, other enterprise business applications, and associated integrations. Responsibilities include administration, security, and development related to the ERP including the system, integrations, and reporting. This position manages the Administrative Enterprise Applications budget which includes staff, professional development, enterprise application licensing, and related contractual services. As part of the IT Leadership Team, the Director must effectively communicate and collaborate with leadership, faculty, and staff across the College to support strong partnerships between IT and the campus community. The Director represents the Division of Information Technology on College committees and working groups, ensuring that IT is positioned to meet the current and future needs of GRCC.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Oversee and monitor the implementation and support of enterprise application systems
- Direct project teams to meet established objectives, delivery dates, and budgets
- Oversee capacity planning efforts and report availability measures for enterprise application systems
- Collaborate with CIO, other executives, and administration to manage project priorities
- Conduct performance appraisals and other administrative management functions for direct reports
- Oversee the design and implementation of enterprise-wide application development standards and effectively manage adoption across the organization
- Collaborate on the integration of application architecture through close teamwork with application developers, system administrators, project managers, and functional owners
- Work with the other IT Division departments and College leadership in business continuity planning, testing, and recovery to ensure the resiliency of GRCC’s application portfolio
- Manage resources for major initiatives by forecasting and prioritizing resource demands including product licensing
- Manage, coach, and mentor direct reports and others in the organization
- Ensure team members' technical skills are kept current and relevant by identifying and supporting appropriate training and other professional development opportunities
- Oversee key performance indicator metrics to meet management targets
- Report performance to senior leadership on a frequent basis
- Understand and proactively manage the funding/budget for area of responsibility
- Negotiate and manage contracts for all consultants and contractors working within area of responsibility
- Develop and maintain departmental IT procedures and contribute to IT Division and GRCC policies
- Create, support and drive change leadership and transformational initiatives
- Lead and promote efforts for innovation, creative problem solving, and continuous process improvement
- Oversee development and delivery of training for functional users of enterprise application systems
- Contribute to and provide leadership in the creation and review of the Division of Information Technology service catalog, goals, priorities, and strategic plan
- Participate in the development and maintenance of the disaster recovery plan for the College’s computing and telecommunications infrastructure
- Prepare responses to mandated audits
- Other duties as assigned by the Chief Information Officer
- Regular attendance during normal scheduled hours is required. Being present is essential for serving customers and performing the essential functions of this position
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Education Credentials
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent required.
- Master’s degree preferred.
Work Experience
- Thorough knowledge of centralized/decentralized applications, implementation and support methodologies, and development tools and techniques for customization of systems required
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills required

Working Conditions

- Occasional requirement to be available on an emergency basis for exercises or actual emergencies
- Requirements to visit other offices and remote sites and otherwise work outside the office environment
