SUMMARY:
Has twenty-four hour accountability for the oversight of Behavioral Health unit of the HealthCare System.
Includes therapies, psychiatric social work, partial hospitalization program, psychologist, teachers, The Recovery Center, complementary medicine and court diversion.
Oversees and effectively manages operational functions of planning, staffing, scheduling, evaluating, monitoring and reporting.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Plans, directs and evaluates overall activities within the behavioral health department, including administrative activities, and fiscal material and human resource management.
-Identifies internal and external ways to leverage core business strengths.
-Financially accountable for aspects of the unit utilizing available financial systems and reports and understanding the expense and revenue aspects of the unit.
-Communicates business imperatives, goals and direction in a clear and complete manner.
-Establishes clear goals and outcomes that drive change process.
-Maintains open communication with physicians and conducts and participates in department meetings on a scheduled basis.
-Through managers ensures effective staffing levels daily to ensure a balance between cost and quality.
-Investigates accidents/incidents in an effort to prevent future occurrences.
-Is a resource in the area of expertise to other health care professionals.
-Ensures all cases of domestic violence are reported to specific agency involved.
-Ensures policy/procedures remain current and in line with any new regulations.
-Serves as a liaison between Genesis and other agencies (such as ADAMH Board, Thomkins Center and 6 County, Inc,).
-Coaches, mentors staff and manages personnel issues that may arise within the department.
-Holds staff to high quality standards.
-Maintains knowledge of regulatory changes and organizational compliance.
-Monitors and reports to State Department of Mental Health/ODADAS any MUI's.
EDUCATION/REQUIREMENTS:
MSN and Ohio RN license required.
Must have at least 5 years of Behavioral Health experience (with at least 4 years in a leadership role)
Requires knowledge of regulatory and professional standards.
Demonstrated leadership and ability to work with a multidisciplinary team.
ADDITIONAL INFO:
Reports to the COO.
Will have 2 Managers and an Administrative Assistant and oversee all service lines with around 75 employees.
Work with Adult/Adolescent populations.
The position will offer between 109K-138K(someone with 10 yrs will be around 131K) and a full benefit package is offered including relocation.Service lines include: inpatient hospitalization, outpatient behavioral health/therapeutic services, anger management, employee assistance, court diversion, ER/Psych nurses, and The Recovery Program (drug/alcohol).
