Senior Director, Business Development
Lead the Growth of Cutting-Edge Training Solutions
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Director of Business Development to lead the charge in expanding our courseware services and training product offerings. Reporting directly to the President, this role is a critical part of the executive team and will drive strategy, sales, and partnerships. Youll collaborate closely with business unit leaders, customer support, and strategic development to exceed revenue targets and build lasting relationships with key customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Achieve sales objectives for courseware services, LCMS/LMS, and training products.
- Plan, direct, and coordinate the business development team to maximize sales volume and drive future growth.
- Develop sales objectives, policies, and programs to foster business development.
- Recommend product improvements based on customer feedback and sales trends.
- Build and maintain executive-level relationships with key existing and potential customers.
- Oversee the adoption and use of CRM and other sales technologies to enhance team performance.
- Identify and recommend strategic partnerships and alliances to enhance sales.
- Stay informed about international trade agreements and regulations that impact business goals.
- Maintain strong relationships with government procurement agencies in relevant markets.
- Set objectives for and provide direction to direct reports, if applicable.
- Develop and manage cost center budgets, ensuring financial targets are met.
- Ensure compliance with security protocols, including ITAR requirements.
- Travel as needed to meet with clients, partners, and government agencies.
- Uphold company ethics and business conduct standards.
Required Qualifications:
- US Citizenship.
- Background in military or navy environments is highly valued.
- Business or marketing-related degree (advanced degree preferred).
- Proven success in sales, product management, or marketing, particularly in the aerospace and defense industry.
- In-depth experience with training and simulation products.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bilingual (English and Spanish or another language) is an asset.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Security Clearance.
