Virtus Healthcare Staffing is searching for a Director of Cardiovascular Services for our client, a prominent 137-bed acute care medical center located in Sanford, NC. This leadership role is critical for overseeing and enhancing cardiovascular services, ensuring exceptional patient care and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic leadership and oversight for the Cardiovascular Services department, including the Cardiac Cath Lab.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure high-quality patient care and compliance with regulatory standards.
• Manage departmental operations, including staff supervision, budgeting, and resource allocation.
• Collaborate with medical and administrative teams to enhance service delivery and patient outcomes.
• Lead quality improvement initiatives and ensure adherence to best practices and clinical protocols.
• Facilitate staff training and professional development to maintain high standards of care.

Qualifications:

• Education: A Bachelor's degree is required; a Master's degree is preferred.
• License: A Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina or a compact state is required.
• Certifications:
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is required within 30 days of hire.
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification is required within 90 days of hire.
• Experience:
  • 3-5 years of supervisory experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab setting.
  • 5+ years of training, education, and/or experience as a Cardiac Cath Lab RN.
