MDS Solutions, a division of Key Rehabilitation, is looking for a fun, energetic, and self-driven team member to join our remote MDS division as the Full time Director of Clinical Reimbursement Consulting.
The Director of Clinical Reimbursement Consulting (DCRC) leads and manages MDS Coordinators and Clinical Reimbursement Specialists within the MDS Solutions division. This role involves performing billable consulting services for clients, including MDS coordination, RAI assessments, Care Plan development, PDPM, Case Mix reimbursement optimization, and Quality Measure analysis. The DCRC is responsible for providing training and education to MDS Coordinators, ensuring accurate reimbursement and compliance with federal quality reporting requirements. The Director excels both independently and as part of a team, leveraging clinical and analytical expertise, strong communication, customer service skills, and sound professional judgment.

- Serve as a trusted advisor to healthcare agencies and facilities, providing expert guidance on reimbursement systems and processes.
- Assist clients in assessing, planning, developing, and implementing tailored systems and processes for optimizing reimbursement, as outlined in client contracts.
- Offer technical consultation and interim MDS management support, addressing client-specific needs.
- Stay current with professional standards of care, federal and state regulations, QM measures, and the RAI process to ensure compliance and best practices.
- Deliver high-quality, client-focused services, including reimbursement optimization, education, research, system analysis, creative problem-solving, recommendations, and comprehensive written presentations.
- Identify training needs and develop and conduct targeted training sessions or in-services as required.
- Operate within the defined scope of work provided by the client, maintaining strict confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA regulations.
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing or Therapy from an accredited institution
- 5 years minimum of clinical experience, including 3+ years of direct involvement with the RAI process.
- Current, unrestricted RN or Therapist (OT, PT, or SLP) license required.
- Must hold RAC-CT certification.
- Demonstrates strong critical thinking and decision-making skills, with the ability to exercise sound clinical and professional judgment and a solid understanding of quality improvement concepts and processes.
- Proven leadership and interpersonal skills.
