Cherish Hospice is seeking a Director of Clinical Services (DCS) in the Canton Area.
The DCS supervises the care and services provided by the Interdisciplinary Group and delegates nursing services in accordance with established practice standards. This role involves establishing, implementing, and evaluating goals and objectives for hospice services that uphold quality standards and contribute to the agency’s mission, vision, and philosophy.
Director of Clinical Services Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and oversee all direct and indirect patient services delivered by clinical personnel.
- Support the clinical team in continually enhancing all aspects of the hospice care services provided by the organization.
- Interpret operational indicators to identify changes in census and fluctuations in volume that may impact staffing levels, revenues, or expenses.
- Evaluate the performance of the Clinical Team.
- Ensure the proper maintenance of patient clinical records, statistics, and reports for evaluation and reporting of organizational activities.
- Responsible for the orientation of new personnel, whether directly or through delegation.
- Assist in evaluating organizational performance through performance improvement programs and productivity reviews, ensuring the quality and safety of hospice services.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal laws regarding licensure and certification of personnel.
Director of Clinical Services Qualifications:
· Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
· Registered nurse in Ohio with current licensure to practice professional nursing.
· Minimum of three years of management experience in hospice care.
· Valid driver’s license
· Excellent observation, verbal, and written communication skills.
· Knowledge and experience of hospice operations, business management, governmental and accrediting organization regulations.
