Job Details
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Construction Operations to join our team. This is an opportunity to be part of a fast-paced, innovative environment where you will be challenged and rewarded. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in overseeing construction projects from conception to completion, ensuring that they are completed in a timely and cost-effective manner. The Director of Construction Operations will be responsible for all aspects of construction operations, including project planning, budgeting, scheduling, and team management.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee all construction operations, ensuring that projects are executed to the highest standards of quality and safety.
2. Develop and implement construction strategies, setting objectives and milestones for each project.
3. Manage project budgets, ensuring that resources are allocated efficiently and effectively.
4. Supervise construction teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and high performance.
5. Act as the primary point of contact for clients, stakeholders, and contractors, maintaining strong relationships and ensuring clear communication at all times.
6. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, including health and safety.
7. Monitor project progress, identifying and addressing any issues or delays.
8. Collaborate with other departments to integrate construction operations with overall company strategy and goals.
9. Continuously evaluate and improve construction processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and quality.
10. Prepare and present regular reports to senior management, providing updates on project status, challenges, and achievements.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field. A Master's degree will be an added advantage.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior construction management role, with a proven track record of successfully overseeing large-scale construction projects.
3. Strong knowledge of construction processes, equipment, and safety regulations.
4. Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
5. Exceptional problem-solving skills, with a knack for identifying and addressing issues quickly and effectively.
6. Strong financial and budgeting skills, with the ability to manage resources effectively.
7. Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and contractors.
8. Proficiency in construction management software and other relevant technology.
9. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
10. Strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
