The Director of Corporate Training is responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive training programs that support the growth and development of all departments within the organization, with a significant emphasis on the sales team. This role involves strategic planning, curriculum development, and ensuring alignment with company goals to enhance employee performance, satisfaction, and retention.
You Will
- Develop and implement a cohesive training strategy that aligns with the company's objectives.
- Create and oversee the execution of training programs across all departments, ensuring a particular focus on sales training.
- Assess the effectiveness of current training programs and make continuous improvements.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in training and development.
- Design and deliver sales training programs that enhance the skills and knowledge of the sales team.
- Develop materials and resources tailored to different levels of sales personnel, from entry-level to executive.
- Collaborate with the sales leadership team to identify training needs and gaps.
- Implement training initiatives that drive sales performance and achieve sales targets.
- Create engaging and comprehensive training materials, including manuals, e-learning modules, workshops, and seminars.
- Ensure all training content is relevant, up-to-date, and effectively addresses the needs of various departments.
- Utilize various instructional methods to accommodate different learning styles.
- Develop metrics and KPIs to measure the effectiveness of training programs.
- Regularly evaluate training outcomes and make data-driven adjustments to improve training quality.
- Conduct post-training evaluations and feedback sessions to ensure continuous improvement.
- Lead a team of training professionals, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities.
- Foster strong relationships with department heads to ensure training initiatives meet organizational needs.
- Collaborate with HR to align training programs with overall talent management strategies.
- Manage the training budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
- Source and manage external training vendors and consultants as needed.
- Ensure all training activities comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
You Have
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Education, Business Administration, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in training and development, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Proven experience in designing and implementing sales training programs.
- Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with various departments and levels of management.
- Proficiency in using training software and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
Preferred Skills:
- Certification in training and development (e.g., CPLP, CPTM).
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Experience with e-learning platforms and digital training tools.
- Background in sales or experience working closely with sales teams.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to use data to drive decision-making.
Working Conditions:
- Full-time position with occasional travel required.
- Office environment with potential for remote work flexibility.
