Job Description:
The Assistant Director of Higher Education Outreach and Recruitment will lead a team in developing and executing strategies to build and maintain relationships with U.S. higher education institutions. The role focuses on recruiting scholars and educators to participate in a renowned international academic exchange program. This position involves both virtual and in-person engagement, including presentations, workshops, and attending conferences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Outreach Initiatives: Develop strategies to engage with higher education institutions, including those traditionally underrepresented in international programs.
- Recruit Scholars: Actively recruit educators and scholars for participation in an international academic program through events, presentations, and digital outreach.
- Manage Relationships: Serve as the primary contact for partner institutions, ensuring strong, ongoing collaboration.
- Collaborate: Work with a government sponsor and internal teams to align recruitment activities with program goals.
- Travel: Conduct domestic travel to universities and conferences to support outreach and recruitment efforts.
Qualifications:
- Experience: At least 5 years in higher education outreach, recruitment, or related areas.
- Sales Experience: Experience in promoting educational programs is highly valued.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to create and deliver compelling presentations.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly PowerPoint.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Travel: Ability to travel 25-40% of the time for recruitment and outreach events.
