Position Overview:

The Township of Mount Laurel is seeking a dedicated and experienced professional to serve as the Director of Emergency Medical Services (EMS). This leadership position is responsible for overseeing the delivery of high-quality emergency medical services to our community, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations, and coordinating with various stakeholders to enhance public safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement policies and procedures for the EMS division.


• Oversee the management of EMS personnel, including recruitment, training, and performance evaluation.


• Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and accreditation standards.


• Coordinate with local hospitals, fire departments, and law enforcement agencies to enhance emergency response efforts.


• Manage the budget for the EMS department, ensuring efficient use of resources.


• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of EMS programs and services.


• Serve as a liaison with state and federal agencies on EMS-related matters.


• Lead community outreach and education initiatives related to emergency medical services.

Qualifications:

• Valid New Jersey EMT certification; Paramedic certification is highly desirable.


• Minimum of 10 years of experience in emergency medical services, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.


• Strong knowledge of EMS regulations, protocols, and best practices.


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.


• Proven ability to manage budgets and resources effectively.


• Commitment to community service and public safety.
