At the end of 2023, Gallatin Point Capital acquired a majority stake in the attorney-in-fact for TRUE and raised over $1.25 billion of committed capital, enabling TRUE to expand underwriting capacity in Florida and strategically expand nationally.

Position Overview:
We are looking for an experienced and motivated hands-on leader to play a key role in driving the technical vision, strategy, design, and execution of our software development initiatives. This position requires a hands-on approach, strong technical expertise, and exceptional leadership skills as we continue our start-up journey to scale up.
Responsibilities:
Technical Leadership:
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to a team of skilled software engineers.
- Define and drive the technical roadmap, ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the engineering team.
Hands-On Development:
- Actively participate in the architecture, design and development of high-quality software solutions.
- Mentor and collaborate with team members to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
Cloud Architecture:
- Design and implement scalable and robust cloud architecture solutions.
- Lead the development and maintenance of best practices for cloud-based development and deployment.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure our cloud architecture remains cutting-edge.
Performance Optimization:
- Oversee the performance analysis and optimization of cloud-based systems.
- Implement monitoring and diagnostic tools to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve application and system performance.
Budget and Resource Management:
- Manage engineering budgets effectively, optimizing resource allocation for maximum efficiency.
- Ensure the timely and successful completion of projects within budget constraints.
Innovation and Best Practices:
- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in software engineering.
- Drive innovation and champion the adoption of cutting-edge technologies.
Team Building and Development:
- Recruit, train, and develop top-tier software engineering talent.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture that values creativity and excellence.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Proven experience in software engineering leadership roles, with a focus on hands-on development.
- Strong technical background with expertise in software development, architecture, and system design.
- Strong proficiency in Java and/or .Net.
- Demonstrated success in leading and delivering complex software projects.
- In-depth knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and their services.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools.
- Experience with modern development methodologies, such as Agile or Scrum.
