Primary Responsibilities: The primary responsibility of this role is to analyze and direct activities of the estimating team in interpretation of blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost and labor estimates for products, projects, or services. Your role is pivotal in ensuring that we win enough profitable work to meet our company goals, while fostering strong trade and client relationships.
Specific Duties & Tasks:
- Identify, develop and assist with the closing of new project opportunities.
- Work closely with the sales and business development team to build our project pipeline. Assist with preparing proposals and client presentations in a timely manner.
- Establish estimating team goals based on growth objectives while maintaining corporate gross margin goals and expectations.
- Champion interdepartmental integration and promote an entire team atmosphere through internal coordination with Sales, Operations and Accounting.
- Provide oversite and performance management to the Estimating Department.
- Works with the accounting department and install field supervisors in review of variance reporting to isolate performance factors and account for in the bid process.
- Consults with customers, install field supervisors, sales associates, or other individuals to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues.
- Provide various reports to senior leadership on the productivity of the residential estimating department.
- Responsible for maintaining a safe workplace and ensuring that safety is the highest priority in the workplace.
- Responsible for special projects as requested by management and other duties/ responsibilities as assigned to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.
- Ensure compliance with all Del-Air policies and procedures.
- Conduct Employee reviews and maintain team feedback for growth.
- Arrange site visits during the estimating process to reduce errors and ensure consistency with corporate goals, accountability and coaching.
- Verify that all project specific documents (RFP’s an RFI responses) have been thoroughly reviewed prior to estimate submittal to the client.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field
- 10+ years of experience in estimating, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and costs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field
- Experience with estimating software
- Experience in the Consumer Support Services industry
- Professional certifications such as Certified Professional Estimator (CPE) or Project Management Professional (PMP)
Responsibilities:
