JOB PURPOSE:The Director of Family and Community Programs will lead the strategic planning, development, and execution of the Youth, Community-Based Services, and Adult Wellness Programs. This role focuses on designing and implementing programs that enhance community connections, support family well-being, and foster inclusive environments. The Director will manage an interdisciplinary team, collaborate with internal and external partners, and ensure programs align with the organization's mission and objectives.
ESSENTIALFUNCTIONS:
1. ProgramDevelopmentandManagement- Design,develop,andmanagetheprogramsand all associated activities of the following programs:
Adult Wellness
YouthSummerandout-of-schooltimeprograms(SMARTY'S) Broadway and Southwest Community-Based Services (CBS)
- Overseeprograms'implementation,evaluation,andcompliancetoensuretheymeetall Federal, State, and organizational objectives and performance standards.
-Usedata-driveninsightstoimproveprogrameffectivenessandparticipantoutcomes continuously.
2. TeamLeadershipandSupervision-Supervise,mentor,andsupportallprogramstaff, promoting professional development and team cohesion.
- Allocateresources,assigntasks,andmonitorworkloadtoensureefficientand effective program delivery.
- Fosteracollaborativeandinclusiveworkenvironmentthatreflectstheorganization's values.
- Oversee and provide leadership to department heads, managers, volunteers and communitypartnersensuringtheyhavethesupportandresourcesnecessarytoassist with meeting our organizational goals.
- Fosteracollaborativeandhigh-performanceculturethrougheffectiveperformance management, professional development, and team building.
3. StakeholderEngagementandCollaboration-Establishandmaintainstrongworking relationships with community partners, families, local organizations, and other stakeholders directly related to the funding and implementation of all programs. This includesattendingallFederal,StateandCountymeetingsasrequiredbyprogramareas and funding.
- Serveastheprimarypointofcontactforcommunitypartnersandrepresentthe organization at community events and meetings.
- Collaboratewithotherdepartmentstointegratefamilyandcommunityengagement strategies across the organization.
4. StrategicPlanningandBudgetManagement-Developandimplementstrategicplans for family and community programs in alignment with organizational goals.
- Prepareandmanagebudgets,ensuring programsarefinancially sustainableand operate
withinestablishedconstraints.
-Identifyfundingopportunitiesandassistwithgrantwritingandfundraisingeffortsto support program initiatives.
5. StakeholderEngagementandCollaboration-Establishandmaintainstrongworking relationships with community partners, families, local organizations, and other stakeholders directly related to the funding and implementation of all programs. This includesattendingallFederal,StateandCountymeetingsasrequiredbyprogramareas and funding.
-Serveastheprimarypointofcontactforcommunitypartnersandrepresentthe organization at community events and meetings.
-Collaboratewithotherdepartmentstointegratefamilyandcommunityengagement strategies across the organization.
6. Communication and Advocacy- Act as an advocate for family and community engagement,promotingtheimportanceandimpactoftheprogramsbothinternallyand externally.
-Developandimplementcommunicationstrategiestoincreaseawarenessand participation in programs.
-Producereports,presentations,andothermaterialstoconveyprogramachievements and impact.
OTHER FUNCTIONS: This position may require occasional evening and weekend work to attend community events and meetings. Attends staff, managers, and departmental meetings. Contributes to departmental and organizational decision-making through active participation in the process.Works effectively and positively with co-workers and volunteers.Other duties as assigned by executive director.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Communications, Education, Psychology, Community Development, Nonprofit Management, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
Experience-Aminimumof5-7yearsofexperienceinprogrammanagement,community engagement, or a related field, with at least 3 years in a leadership or supervisory role.

SuggestedSalary:$70,000/ Annually
