Something About the Position
Camcorp delivers innovative and efficient air pollution control solutions that help North American industrial manufacturers achieve compliance and improve the quality of air its workforces and communities breathe. We are on a mission to find a Director of Field Operations to lead all aspects of our field service and installation of our dust collection equipment including managing Mechanical, Field Construction, Electrical and Aftermarket services at a variety of locations across the U.S.
- Manage and monitor assigned projects to ensure they meet the agreed construction schedule, expected quality levels, and adherence to the company's Standard Operating Procedures.
- Provide leadership, advice, and assistance to field installation and service regarding, sequencing, scheduling, people management and methods of construction and service.
- Provide input on budgets and determine field staff requirements.
- Ensure that field personnel are performing to established standards, providing help and guidance when required to ensure issues are mitigated before they arise.
- Ensure that field personnel are performing to established standards.
- Oversee the development of project schedules and monitor all project schedules for compliance.
- Review project schedules during regular site visits throughout the country, highlighting potential challenges and providing solutions when required. 25% travel required.
- Help provide creative solutions to challenges, adopting a positive, team-oriented approach which ensures the best outcome is reached for the business and its stakeholders.
- Coordinate field training in job specific and safety training.
- Recruit, mentor, coach, and train teams to ensure they are able to effectively execute service and project plans.
- Foster and develop effective working relationships with team members, ensuring deliverable development and succession plans are in place within the field
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills You Need to Bring With You
- Minimum of 10 years of Superintendent experience, successfully delivering complex industrial projects.
- Strong leadership, project management, and financial management skills.
- Ability to project manage and deliver multiple high value projects concurrently.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage the details necessary for the successful delivery of high value projects.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or construction Management (preferred but not essential) and experience relative to size/scope of projects.
- Industrial ventilation experience is preferable, but not essential.
- Strong understanding and use of programming and scheduling software with the ability to use this to help produce workable and deliverable schedules
- A strong sense of urgency and initiative with the ability to constantly multi-task and handle competing priorities.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think and act decisively
