Job Title: Director of Finance - Nursing Home Group
Reports To: Ownership
Job Overview: Nursing Home Group is seeking a Director of Finance. You will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of our operations. You will play a crucial role in financial planning, analysis, and reporting to ensure the financial health and sustainability of our facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Planning and Strategy:
- Develop and execute financial strategies that align with the group’s mission and goals.
- Prepare annual budgets and financial forecasts for individual facilities and the group as a whole.
Financial Management:
- Manage day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable/receivable, purchasing, payroll, and billing.
- Monitor cash flow, investments, and financial performance against budget.
Financial Reporting and Analysis:
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for senior management and stakeholders.
- Conduct variance analysis and provide insights to support decision-making.
Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and financial standards in the healthcare industry.
- Identify and mitigate financial risks through effective internal controls and procedures.
Team Leadership and Collaboration:
- Lead and mentor the finance team, providing guidance and support in financial matters.
- Collaborate with facility administrators and department heads to optimize financial performance and efficiency.
Strategic Planning and Support:
- Participate in strategic planning initiatives and provide financial expertise to support growth and expansion efforts.
- Evaluate capital expenditures and investment opportunities to enhance operational effectiveness.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
- CPA or CFA certification preferred.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in financial management, preferably in healthcare or senior living industries.
- Strong understanding of healthcare reimbursement systems, Medicaid/Medicare billing, and regulatory compliance.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in financial management software and advanced Excel skills.
