Summary/Purpose:
Overall responsibility for the financial oversight of the global Interventional Device Solutions (IDS) product line, including consolidated BU financial statements and consolidated BU budgets and forecasts. Also responsible for providing financial business partnership to the VP of Global Operations.
Essential Duties:
Provide leadership to Interventional Device Solutions Product Line finance team and support operations function.
- Ensure timely close of the financial systems every month across the business unit in accordance with US GAAP/IFRS/GMP.
- Recruit and provide leadership to Product Line finance team.
- Provide analysis and recommendations to management in the areas cost management, of, resource management, finance, revenue accounting, customer profitability and market segmentation, pricing, and contracts.
- Support Healthcare Division capex spending management and execution.
- Partner with business and IT to develop new processes to better manage operating expenses, working capital and overall business profitability.
- Develop and ensure compliance with policies and procedures to meet all corporate, and statutory, requirements, including sales and use tax filings and other local tax compliance requirements.
- Provide support for ad-hoc financial projects and analysis along with financial presentations as required to support corporate initiatives.
- Assist in the development of short, medium, and long term plans to achieve strategic objectives including plant consolidation, strategic partnerships, and acquisition strategy.
- Regularly interact across functional areas with senior management or executives to ensure plant and division objectives are met.
- Together with the Corporate Accounting Team, identify and resolve Company's technical accounting issues; provide technical accounting guidance and recommendations to senior management and various business divisions, as documented in Company accounting position papers;
- Research and evaluate transactions, legal contracts, business practices, and policies for compliance with accounting and reporting guidance.

- Assisting in audits of employee behaviors to ensure compliance with safety rules and guidelines, as well as housekeeping audits and surveys.
- Actively participates in the continuous improvement process (CIP) by:
- Identifying and addressing any opportunities to reduce cost, improve product/process and/or improve overall operations
- Participating in CIP teams to eliminate problems, streamline operations or other areas as defined by management
- Participating in CIP training and exercises designed to expand the potential for continuous improvement.
Non-Essential Duties: Performs other financial/business related duties that may be assigned.
Qualifications, Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Business with more than 15 years experience with a broad acute business acumen; CPA and/or Masters degree preferred with strong GAAP (and IFRS) knowledge.
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment and hands on knowledge of manufacturing systems and link to financial reporting and performance interpretation
- Solid management skills leading teams of 5 or more people with a track record of mentoring/growing team members with ability to lead and motivate others. Financial planning & analysis skills in order to determine success, areas of need, and ability to communicate results.
- Ability to build and drive an efficient, user friendly process for developing financial plans and analysis that links to the strategic objectives.
- Follow-through skills necessary to get information from internal and third parties and have data errors/omissions corrected.
- The ability to think on your feet and rapidly adjust to changing priorities is necessary. The ability to inspire confidence and trust are essential. This position requires a strong team player that is committed to a teamwork environment, leading by example with a hands on approach to get things done. Strong documentation skills, reporting skills, interpersonal skills and computer skills are required.
Language Skills: Excellent English and communication skills, both verbal and written. Italian/Spanish language skills preferred. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
IT system capability: Significant experience working with one or more of the following ERP systems: SAP, AS400, and/or LN. Strong Excel skills to allow analysis and interpretation of financial data.
Travel and International background: Role will require significant travel internationally. Familiarity/experience in a global/international business in Europe/S. America required.
Salary of $165,000 to $185,000 DOE
