Under the direction of the Vice President of Administration, the Director of Human Resources will co-manage our personnel and ensure that our human resources (HR) programs and initiatives are effective, efficient, and aligned to overall business objectives. The duties for the Director of Human Resources will include supervising human resources personnel, dealing with employee grievances and disputes, supporting employee development, enhancing job satisfaction, implementing HR strategies that support business objectives, mitigating risks, structuring benefit packages, maintaining employee records, managing budgets, designing accountability mechanisms, and overseeing overall employment needs.

Description
Under the direction of the Vice President of Administration, the Director of Human Resources will co-manage our personnel and ensure that our human resources (HR) programs and initiatives are effective, efficient, and aligned to overall business objectives. The duties for the Director of Human Resources will include supervising human resources personnel, dealing with employee grievances and disputes, supporting employee development, enhancing job satisfaction, implementing HR strategies that support business objectives, mitigating risks, structuring benefit packages, maintaining employee records, managing budgets, designing accountability mechanisms, and overseeing overall employment needs.
- Ensure that fair employment practices meet the needs of the organization.
- Advise directors and managers on employee and labor policies, i.e., ADA, FMLA, and OSHA.
- Manage and coordinate all Workers Compensation and other legal claims.
- HR Audit preparation and coordination.
- Collaborate with other department managers to deliver employee training programs, employee feedback, ensure compliance and facilitate performance management.
- Oversee staff operations and assist with budget development of HR programs.
- Mediate and suggest solutions to employee disputes.
- Manage employee Wellness, Healthy Workplace and Safety (OSHA) programs, including COVID-19.
- Assist with the development, design, and implementation of company Training and Development program.
- Assist with developing and implementing human resources policies, ensuring compliance with Federal, State, and local laws and regulations, including consulting legal counsel to ensure that policies comply with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- EEOC Reporting and coordination.
- Employee regulations, contracts, and quality assurance compliance.
- Assist with full cycle recruiting, identifying, evaluating, and solving hiring challenges.
- Counsel management by providing advice on managing employees and cultivating the ideal culture.
- Assist with performance management and performance reviews.
- Employee counseling and labor relations, disciplinary and grievance procedures. Ensure such policies or procedures do not alter the employment-at-will relationship or form a contract.
- Report for work as scheduled.

- A style of communicating concepts, plans, and reports in an effective manner, gaining the confidence of executive leadership, directors, and others.
- The conceptual ability to manage the portfolio of services and function as a businessperson, anticipating problems and opportunities in advance and offering creative, practical solutions.
- A bachelor's degree in human resource management, Business and/or a personnel-related field, or SHRM, PHR Certification with five (5) years' work experience in a management role.
- A formal training and/or education in State and Federal laws and regulations pertaining to labor laws and regulations.
- Four to six (4-6) years' minimum work experience in not-for-profit, government, for-profit, private enterprise, or academia, with experience including specific duties in human resources administration and personnel including benefits and incentive programs.
- Ability to drive and get to various meetings outside the complex.
- Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 as defined by CDC.
