About the Job
The Director of Information Technology is responsible for the design, development and implementation of the organization information systems, software applications, and IT support and infrastructure system. The Director of IT is responsible for the training and retraining of all staff on the company's EMR systems; inclusive of creating and supporting and ensuring clinical workflows, administrative workflows, UDS (Uniform Data Systems, Analytics tools and software, UDS tracker are in place, familiar with and trained on, to drive efficiencies across the organization and in compliance within compliance with health Resources and Services Administration, other State and local requirements. The Director of IT and his team are trained as superusers of all IT software/hardware and other IT products, the EMR systems and will train and re-train staff as the need arise as well as manage the IT inventory to ensure compliance and periodic reporting of inventory allocation and use through the organization. This position also supervise the facility and the facility supervisor.
The Director of IT establishes technology standards, communicates, and enforces technical and security compliance and safeguards throughout the organization. This position supports infrastructure systems, directs, write, implement, and manage IT plans, schedules, policies and program for organization's data processing, network communications, business operations, grant writing and reporting, computer services and management of information systems according to established goals and objectives of CHP. Monitors and analyzes technology and technology trends that will improve the company's IT products, performance and informs the Executive Team for decision making.
Description of Primary Responsibilities
- Supervise IT staff and serve as super user on all technology software and applicable technology programs.
- Supervise Facility Supervisor.
- Responsible for the design, development and implementation of organizational information systems, software applications, and IT support and infrastructure systems.
- Leading technology planning and driving the implementation of development best practices throughout the organization, while governing control and ensuring objectives are achieved.
- Direct and manage IT plans, schedules, policies and programs for an organization's data processing, network communications, business operations, computer services and management information systems, according to established goals and objectives.
- Identifying emerging information technologies to be analyzed, assimilated, and integrated within the organization.
- Oversee the development of mission-critical applications and technology to support the company's long-term goals and, depending on company size, provide direction and leadership to one or several development teams.
- Risk management, resource allocation, project prioritization, and research and recommendation of new systems and software products and services
- Support all CHP health center facility IT needs.
- Drive collaboration across the organization to identify needs and develop scalable solution.
- Prioritize objectives and implement strategies to achieve company initiatives as part of the leadership team. Deploy data an research to drive-cross-business corporate prioritization.

Licenses & Certifications:
- Bachelor's degree in filed of computer science or information science, master degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare IT leadership.
- Knowledge of fiscal planning, analysis, and management principles
- Ability to work in a fast-moving (and sometimes ambiguous) environment, while managing toward clarity and solutions
- Knowledge of health care management principles and practices, enough to direct operations within a health care organization.
- Ability to communicate effectively to a variety of audiences in small and large group settings.
- Ability to set and maintain high standards of performance, hold people accountable for achieving deliverable metrics, encourage team participation, and motivate others through a shared vision.
- Knowledge of related regulatory and compliance requirements
- Valid Driver's license and automobile insurance.
- Annual OSHA/HIPPA training in accordance with the CHP OSHA/HIPPA manual.
