What you'll do:
The Director of IT oversees both data management and hardware infrastructure. This individual will be responsible for developing and implementing IT strategies, leveraging artificial intelligence technologies, and ensuring robust cybersecurity measures. The Director of IT will also identify and implement suitable Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems to enhance facility operations, as needed.
- Oversee the collection, storage, management, and protection of data.
- Ensure data integrity, availability, and security.
- Develop and enforce data management policies and procedures.
- Manage the company's technology infrastructure including hardware, software, servers, networks, and end-user devices.
- Ensure the reliability and performance of hardware infrastructure.
- Plan and implement hardware upgrades and replacements.
- Develop and implement IT strategies that align with the company's goals and objectives.
- Prepare, plan and work within budget.
- Understand and keep up with emerging technologies and trends to drive innovation and recommend how they can be leveraged to improved business operations.
- Collaborate with senior management to identify and prioritize IT initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to leverage AI technologies to improve business processes.
- Implement AI solutions to enhance data analysis, decision-making, and operational efficiency.
- Ensure the ethical and responsible use of AI technologies.
- Develop and implement comprehensive cybersecurity strategies to protect company assets.
- Oversee security of systems, networks, and enterprise information.
- Monitor and respond to security threats and incidents.
- Facilitate IT security audits and investigations.
- Ensure compliance with relevant security standards and regulations.
- Identify and evaluate ERP systems that meet the needs of the organization.
- Lead the implementation and integration of ERP systems.
- Coordinate multi-site IT systems via ERP and APIs.
- Train and support faculty and staff in the use of ERP systems.
- Establish efficiency and efficacy standards, providing recommendations for improvement of IT infrastructure.
- Develop, implement and maintain business continuity protocols to minimize disruption to business operations in the event of emergency situations or data loss.
- Identify vulnerabilities, the need for upgrades and opportunities for improvement, and consult with senior-level management in order to implement.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Hire and train IT staff.
- Schedule, organize and assign projects to members of the IT team.
- Conduct performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.

- Proficiency in Windows operating systems
- Experience with database management
- Usage in and familiarity with PLEX ERP system
- Experience with cybersecurity tools (firewalls, intrusion detection, antivirus, etc.)
- Microsoft primary environment, including the use of Power BI & Microsoft Fabric
- Experience in artificial intelligence and cybersecurity.
- Experience with ERP systems and their implementation
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a similar field (Master's degree or MBA preferred).
- 15+ years of proven experience managing an IT department, with a focus on data analytics and hardware infrastructure
