Job Summary and Qualifications

•  Provides operational oversight for Intake Dept
  
• Supervises department for 24 hour service provision.
• Tracks and monitors data on patient through put using data to drive timely customer service and efficiency 
• Complete reports/statistics in a timely & accurate manner. 
• Partners with physician and provider relations for referral source relationship development
• Acts as a resource expert for physicians and nursing
• Maintain positive communication and relationship with all departments. 
• Collaborates with the Quality/Risk Director to ensure EMTALA guidelines are followed. 
• Practices discipline in accordance with policy and procedures and standard of care. 
• Enhances intradepartmental communication. 
• Serves as a preceptor for MSE and provides clinical oversight, training and orientation for new staff, and ongoing competency evaluation / assessment of current staff. 
• Reviews the clinical data collected during the initial assessment and ensures Quality data collected meets applicable regulatory requirements. 
• Working knowledge of TJC and regulatory compliance standards. 
• Ensures admission and hospital criteria are met. 
• Ensures confidentiality, privacy, and safety for patients. 
  
• Demonstrates knowledge of involuntary status requirements and ability to train others according to the Texas State Code. 
• Follows established procedures performing job functions. Follows appropriate safety guidelines. 
• Hospital Administrator on Call responsibilities
  

What qualifications you will need:

• Intake experience in acute setting REQUIRED
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Satori Alternatives Manag Aggr must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Masters Degree
• Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Counselor (LMFC)
