Position Summary

The Klarich Center for Academic Excellence assists the academic program in delivering a rigorous academic education to all students while providing the framework for future success. To accomplish this, the center is charged with improving student engagement and commitment in academics and personal growth by developing a range of programming that appeals to diverse interests. The center provides enrichment and instructional support for students across all subjects and competencies to ensure that all students succeed in an academically rigorous high school program. 

 The Director of the Klarich Center is also responsible for the Collegiate and Career Success Program and the Marie Gallagher Citizen Scholars Program.

 Current Responsibilities for the Marie Gallagher Citizen Scholars Program

 Foster social responsibility, recognizing that education is more than classroom achievement; it is a holistic commitment to playing their part in establishing a sustainable future for the city.

• Meet with students monthly to discuss progress, challenges, and next steps.
• Develop a leadership trajectory within the group to ensure that students entering the program become mentors upon entering their junior year.
• Monitor academic progress and facilitate interventions when needed.

 Current Responsibilities for the Dual Enrollment Program at Little Flower

• Acting as the liaison for the students and professor
• Monitoring and supervising classes
• Meeting with the students on an individual basis to maintain student growth and outcomes
• Acting as the liaison with the APAA, Principal, and Director of Guidance with course development with the colleges/universities.
• Recruiting students into the program and setting the proper parameters for academic success
• Classroom Environment: Maker Space
  • *Inventory - keep track and detail log of purchases through the Klarich Center. Give monthly usage reports to the President and work with the President’s Office in the purchasing of new materials for the Center based on the needs of the students and the teachers

 Qualifications

• Master's Degree is preferred
• Experience with developing dual enrollment programs in high schools within the tri-state area is preferred

The Archdiocese offers a competitive salary and benefits package commensurate with experience and education.

 This is a 12-month full-time position. Typical hours are 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday, in person.  Travel appointments may occur throughout the school year 12-month position
