Required Qualifications:
- Experience in long term care and/or sub-acute setting preferred.
- Must have knowledge of building codes and safety regulations.
- Minimum of 3 years diverse construction or maintenance related experience in a supervisory capacity.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to maintain records and complete reports as required, including web-based reporting.
- Written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to interact positively with residents, other personnel and the public.
- Good communication, interpersonal skills organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
- Ability to work effectively with a team.
- Ability to work independently as needed to support the group effort.
- People management and staff development.
- Bi-lingual, English & Spanish preferred.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure the overall safety, appearance and maintenance of the facility in accordance with all applicable Federal, State and Local requirements at all times
- Ensure compliance with all Life Safety guidelines
- Perform repairs and maintenance to major building systems
- Perform repairs and maintenance to cosmetic building facets
- Schedule and oversee outside contractors
- Hands on knowledge and experience with maintenance tools and equipment
- Must meet the physical requirements of the position
