At Giants Ridge we are looking for an experienced and visionary Director of Marketing to join our team! As the Director of Marketing you will work in collaboration with our management company while overseeing, coordinating and participating in the development of marketing strategies as well as branding activity for Giants Ridge. This is an exciting opportunity to apply your marketing and communication expertise in a 4-season resort setting!
This position has a 5-day, in-person, work week. A modified schedule or additional time may be required in order to deliver initiatives.
This is a $65,000 - $75,000 salaried position commensurate with experience.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Establish and manage business strategy development. Define, refine, test and implement strategic plans. These activities include primary research, industry, market and competitive analysis, customer needs assessment. Define the client roadmap in the long, mid and short term.
- Develop facility's business Marketing and Sales strategies and annual budget; monitor and adjust as required to stay within approved guidelines. Leverage marketing support from Corporate Office.
- Maintain portfolio of management experience. Provide marketing expertise for the day-to-day management of products/services in the development pipeline. These activities include opportunity assessment, market evaluation, market research, financial evaluation, and other marketing needs.
- Conduct New Business Development. Identify and evaluate specific business opportunities. Work with operations management team to identify and evaluate new markets.
- Develop and implement marketing strategy. As new Company products/services or initiatives are being developed, coordinate with the operations team to develop sound marketing strategies to win in the marketplace. This will include market segmentation, value proposition development, product positioning, pricing strategy, branding strategy, and communications strategy development.
- Develop a full working knowledge of the company brand and the facility operations.
- Maintain awareness of safety issues, and report them immediately to your manager.
- Work requires general knowledge of sales and marketing principles and practices generally obtained through completion of a Bachelor's degree program in a business-related field.
- 3-5 years related experience and/or formal training.
- Strong customer orientation and grasp of marketing fundamentals.
- Computer proficiency with the ability to utilize MS Office Suite and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite.
- Demonstrated talent for interacting with a wide variety of people.
- Ability to effectively organize and coordinate multiple priorities; ability to work well as a team leader; ability to problem-solve.
- Strong customer service abilities; actively looks for ways to assist customers and coworkers.
- Ability to travel and work weekends when required.
- Ability to sit at a desk in front of a computer for the entire work day.
- Ability to stand and/or walk for an entire work day.
- Reading and writing work-related documents in English.
- Speech recognition and clarity, including the ability to understand the speech of customers and co-workers and the ability to speak clearly so that you can be understood by customers and co-workers in English.
- Constantly communicates and receives verbal communication with other employees.
- Lifting, carrying, and pushing up to 15 lbs. occasionally, up to 30 lbs. seldom.
- Occasionally stoop, kneel, or crouch.
- Use hands and arms to reach for, grasp, and manipulate objects.
- Typical office equipment (computer, phone system, fax, copiers, scanners, among others).
