Position Overview:
We seek an innovative and strategic Director of Marketing to lead our marketing initiatives and strengthen our brand presence in the philanthropy sector. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned marketing professional with a proven ability to drive engagement and growth. This position reports to the President & Chief Executive Officer and manages a Marketing Coordinator. Please note that this is a fully remote position.

Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Marketing Leadership: Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies that align with Marts&Lundy’s mission and business objectives, enhancing our position as a thought leader in philanthropy consulting.
- Brand Development: Oversee the evolution and management of the Marts&Lundy brand, ensuring consistent messaging and visual identity across all platforms and materials.
- Digital Marketing Strategy: Lead our digital marketing efforts, including website management, social media, webinars, email campaigns, and content marketing to increase visibility and attract new clients.
- Content Creation: Collaborate with internal teams to produce high-quality content, such as white papers, case studies, blog posts, and promotional materials that highlight our expertise and success stories.
- Industry Conference Presence: Coordinate attendance, sponsorships, exhibits and speaking opportunities at a range of professional conferences.
- Market Analysis: Conduct ongoing market research to identify trends, insights, and opportunities within the philanthropy sector, adjusting strategies accordingly to stay ahead of the curve.
- Client Engagement and Lead Development: Cultivate relationships with clients and stakeholders, utilizing feedback to refine our services and marketing strategies. Identify and share potential leads from digital or personal interaction to be pursued for sales activity.
- Budget Management: Manage the marketing budget effectively, allocating resources to maximize impact and return on investment.
- Team Development: Manage the marketing coordinator, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- 7 years of marketing experience, with a focus on business-to-business marketing; professional services or consulting firm experience preferred.
- Proven track record in developing and executing successful marketing strategies and campaigns.
- Strong proficiency in digital marketing tools and techniques, including SEO, social media, and content marketing.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and persuasively.
- Strong analytical skills, with experience in data-driven decision-making and market research.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Passion for philanthropy and a commitment to advancing the missions of nonprofit organizations.
