Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to fill the role of Director of Metabolic Conditioning, Team Training Coach, and Personal Trainer. This multifaceted position combines leadership in metabolic conditioning programming with hands-on coaching and personal training. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in exercise science, a passion for helping others succeed, and the ability to lead and inspire both clients and fellow coaches.
Key Responsibilities:
Director of Metabolic Conditioning:
- Programming Management: Develop quarterly metabolic conditioning programs . Conduct in-person meetings with coaches to review the program details, coaching cues, and other relevant information.
- Membership Management: Maintain accurate records of active members, monitor their participation, and review workout logs to ensure progress toward their goals.
- Member Testing and Feedback: Establish a testing protocol to assess members' conditioning levels and offer re-testing every three months. Implement monthly feedback surveys.
- Staff Management: Communicate effectively with team members, evaluate team training coaches' performance every three months, and train new coaches on the Myzone system and current programming standards.
- Calendar and Communication: Maintain an up-to-date calendar with deadlines, meetings, and evaluations. Collaborate with the Director of Programming & Membership on relevant member information.
- Time Management and Quality Standards: Ensure timely completion of tasks, maintain professional standards, and utilize tools like Canva and Constant Contact for outreach and marketing.
Team Training Coach:
- Client Interaction and Motivation: Lead engaging and effective team training sessions, providing clear instructions, motivating participants, and fostering a positive team environment.
- Program Development: Plan and develop challenging team training programs that cater to various fitness levels while ensuring safety and variety.
- Adaptability and Creativity: Modify exercises to accommodate different abilities and goals, ensuring a tailored and inclusive training experience.
- Professionalism and Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other fitness professionals and staff members, maintaining a high level of professionalism at all times.
Personal Trainer:
- Client Assessment and Goal Setting: Conduct thorough assessments of clients' fitness levels, health history, and goals, and collaborate with them to set realistic objectives.
- Customized Workout Planning: Develop personalized exercise programs tailored to individual client needs and goals.
- Instruction and Demonstration: Provide clear instructions on proper exercise techniques, monitor clients' form, and offer constructive feedback.
- Progress Monitoring and Adjustments: Regularly assess clients' progress, adjust workout plans as needed, and provide updates to keep them motivated.
- Nutritional Guidance: Offer general guidance on nutrition to complement clients' fitness goals through LEAP’s nutrition program.
- Professional Development: Engage in continuous professional development, including obtaining certifications and staying informed about industry trends.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or a related field & Nationally recognized certifications in Personal Training, Group Fitness, or Strength and Conditioning.
- Or 2 Nationally recognized certifications in Personal Training, Group Fitness, or Strength and Conditioning.
- Specialized certifications in nutrition, group fitness or team training (e.g., HIIT, functional training) are highly encouraged.
- Current CPR and First Aid certifications.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in the fitness industry, including personal training and group fitness instruction.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Bringing in new business each month is required.
- Ability to motivate and inspire clients and team members.
