While an MPRS provides services in the home, residence, or community to an assigned caseload of individuals who experience serious behavioral health challenges, the MPRS Director is responsible for supervision of the program, the implementation of quality improvement activities that relates to information management, staff development, and the ongoing monitoring of admission/discharge criteria.
Requirements
Education:
(1) A bachelor’s degree and CPRP certification**
(2) A bachelor’s degree and at least 3 years work experience in mental health direct service, 2 years of which must be work experience in MPRS. CPRP certification shall be attained within 2 years of hire as a MPRS Director.
(3) An associate of arts degree and CPRP certification if employed as the MPRS director of a licensed MPRS facility for at least 6 months immediately prior to May 11, 2013.
**MPRS director is required to have CPRP certification within two years of hire as the MPRS Director
Experience:
A minimum of 3 years of paid professional experience in a behavioral health setting.
