Peace Healthcare at Ridgeway Manor is a 61-bed, skilled nursing facility located in Catonsville, Maryland. We’re known for our friendly customer service and the exceptional care we provide our residents. We offer 24/7 skilled nursing care, rehabilitation, subacute care and other senior care services. This opening is a full time, salaried position, with a Monday-Friday day shift schedule as well as on call rotation participation. Both full and part time employees are eligible for benefits after a probationary period with minimum hour requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS: 

• Current active Registered Nursing license in the State of Maryland (required)
• Preferred minimum of 5 years of progressive nursing leadership experience, with a preference for candidates with prior Director of Nursing experience in a long-term care setting.
• Strong knowledge of state and federal regulations governing nursing home facilities.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

JOB SUMMARY: As the DON, you will be responsible for managing daily nursing operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, and fostering a positive and collaborative team environment. This is a key leadership role that requires excellent clinical, administrative, and interpersonal skills to maintain a high standard of resident care in line with our mission.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Oversee all nursing operations, including staff management, resident care, and regulatory compliance.
• Develop and implement nursing policies, procedures, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Ensure proper staffing levels, including recruitment, training, and supervision of nursing staff.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide personalized care for residents.
• Monitor resident care plans and ensure that nursing staff adheres to best practices and safety protocols.
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, including infection control and medication administration.
• Act as a leader and mentor to nursing staff, fostering a supportive and team-oriented environment.
• Other duties as assigned
