Director of Nursing (DON) - Sign ON Bonus at Skilled Nursing Facility

Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) in the Cheektowaga area is searching for a qualified Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) candidate to assist our DON with daily responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the Director of Nursing Services (DNS) with management tasks and uphold high-quality care standards.
• Conduct weekly Wound/Skin Rounds.
• Ensure compliance and promote effective communication among nursing staff.
• Address the nursing and medical needs of all residents.
• Be on call 24/7.
• Oversee and coordinate comprehensive planning for nursing services.
• Maintain an in-depth knowledge of nursing theory and practices.
• Ensure accurate and timely completion of medical records.
• Assist in the recruitment, hiring, and orientation of new nursing staff.
• Manage daily staffing processes and infection control measures.
• Adapt work schedule to meet unpredictable needs.

Qualifications:

• Must have a current State RN license.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Long-Term Care settings required.
• Preferred: 2 years of management experience.
• Preferred: 1 year of experience in staff education.
• Strong communication skills are essential.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities and supervisory skills.
• Flexibility in hours is necessary.
